GCSD is happy to announce the start of family swim, which will begin on Sunday, March 3, 2024. Family swim will be offered on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., unless otherwise noted. It will be open to the public for a cost of $1.00 per person. When attending, please park in the senior parking lot and enter through the alleyway pool doors. Stay tuned for more updates. Please direct any questions you may have to the Athletic Office.

At their regular meeting held on February 12, 2024, the Board of Education of the Gouverneur Central School District approved to give back up to 5 remaining snow days, in the following order. If additional snow days are used, the days will return to instructional days in reverse order starting with Day 5. There will be no school for students and 10- and 11-month staff on these days:
Day 1 – Monday, April 8, 2024
Day 2 – Friday, May 24, 2024
Day 3 – Thursday, May 23, 2024
Day 4 – Friday, May 10, 2024
Day 5 – Wednesday, June 26, 2024

Recently, Raptor Technologies, a 3rd party vendor, which the District uses for checking students and visitors in at our main offices, reported a security vulnerability involving their cloud-based data storage system resulting in the District’s data being publicly accessible.

At the regular meeting of the Board of Education held November 6, 2023, the Board adopted new policy #5711, Unauthorized Individuals on School Buses Operated by First Student, Inc., and revised our required policy #3420, Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment in the District. St. Lawrence County Public Health Department would like to remind all parents and guardians of school age children to schedule immunization update appointments now in order to prepare their children for the 2023-2024 school year. Right now is the best time to get ahead of the rush in the fall.
